How do I use this service?
All you have to do is send your paper or question to us. Click here to access OWL.
Note: Papers must be MS Word documents or Rich Text Format (.rtf).
When will I hear back from you?
If we receive the paper Monday through Thursday at noon, we will try to respond within 24 hours. If you send the paper after noon on Thursday through Sunday, we will try to respond by Tuesday morning. If there is a school closure, you will receive feedback on the next business day. For example, if you send us a paper over the weekend and school is closed on Monday, we will try to respond by Wednesday morning. Please Note: While we will try to respond to your request as soon as possible, this service is first-come, first-served. High volume, may delay our response. It is always advisable to send us your work well in advance of your deadline.
What kind of help are you going to give me?
The help you receive will be similar to a one-on-one meeting with a Specialist. First, you will receive feedback on the quality of your thesis, the structure of your paper and whether or not you are meeting the goals of the assignment. Then you will receive feedback on grammar, punctuation, and spelling. We may also direct you to a particular writing resource that we think you may find helpful. All of our writing resources are available online whenever you may need them. To see a list of writing resources, click here.
It is important for you to know that if you do not have a strong thesis or the paper is poorly developed, we will encourage you to start a new draft by outlining and drafting again based on your new and improved thesis. This may seem like a lot of work, but it's what's needed to get the paper right. Remember, writing is a process and that process takes some time.
What if I just want you to check the grammar and punctuation?
It is our belief that a good paper must have a sound thesis and that it must be well organized, so we spend the bulk of our time focused on the content and development of your paper. If your thesis is strong and the paper is well organized, then we will focus on the mechanics; however, we will always address both.
Who can use this service?
Any student currently enrolled in an online or Sunday CCC course can use this service.
