Course Description

Recommended background: MATH 104 or MATH 114 and high school physics. Continuation of PHYS 103. Course content includes Kirchhoffâs voltage and current rules; reactance and resonance; electromagnetism, Faradayâs Law, standing waves, the Doppler effect, reflection and refraction, mirror and lens ray diagrams, interference, diffraction and polarization. Three class hours and one three-hour lab weekly.
