Guidelines
Current plans to upgrade to Windows 8 / Office 2013
Windows 8 and Office 2013 are nearing release, once released Cayuga IT will begin testing both products to determine what if any compatibility issues exist. Once testing has been completed and the product has met the "general campus upgrade scheme" requirements posted above Cayuga IT will begin deploying the software together to client workstations.
Current plans to upgrade to Windows 7 / Office 2010
Windows 7 and Office 2010 will be deployed together. As new computers are ordered they will be deployed with Windows 7 and Office 2010 as the standard installation. The campus is nearly finished with this deployment on existing systems where hardware and user requirements allow, specific systems that have a required business need will stay on older versions of software until such time replacement systems can be deployed.

Training
Windows 7 and Office 2010 training will be offered at various strategic times during the year. Employees wishing to receive additional training not on those dates should submit a request using the Employee Training link on the Campus Technology Webpage.
