Four Cayuga Athletes Named Academic All-Americans

Four recent Cayuga Community College graduates have been named Academic All-Americans by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Qualifying as Distinguished Academic All-Americans (minimum 3.8 grade point average out of 4.0) are men’s soccer players Marc Paczkowski of Port Byron and Port Byron High School; and Jeffrey Walawender of Auburn, who attended Auburn High School.

Qualifying as Academic All-Americans (minimum 3.6 grade point average out of 4.0) are men’s soccer player Michael McCall of Union Springs and Southern Cayuga High School, and men’s lacrosse player Christopher Tamul of Auburn, who attended Auburn High School.

Cayuga Community College is a two-year community college sponsored by Cayuga County and the State University of New York (SUNY). The College’s main campus is in the city of Auburn, and its Fulton Center extension is in Oswego County. Men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletics programs at Cayuga include basketball, cross country, lacrosse, and soccer.
