Remember When? College Library Wants to Know

DATE: 10-06-2003

To celebrate National Archives Week and the college's 50th anniversary year, the Bourke Memorial Library at Cayuga Community College will host an open house called “The Way We Were @ Cayuga Community College.” The four-day event will take place at the Auburn campus Tuesday, October 14, through Thursday, October 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All current and past area residents, as well as college staff and alumni, are invited to help the library identify people and events pictured in college photos from the library's archives collection. Martha Lollis, library director, explains, “These photos offer us valuable insights and records on the college's history. We hope to label them accurately before the memories they capture become too distant.”

The photographs will be displayed in the library's local history room. Cards will be available for visitors to use, in providing any information they can on pictures in the collection.
