Harlequin Presents Comedy The Great Crusade in October

DATE: 10-15-2004

Harlequin Productions of Cayuga Community College will stage the world premier of The Great Crusade by Doug Bedwell in the college's Auburn campus theatre Thursday through Saturday, October 21?23 and October 28?30.

The comedy follows a hero's quest for the Holy Grail amid worries about how history will treat him. He gathers a zany entourage to help in daring adventures and a climactic battle against evil. Some content appropriate for a teenage or older audience is included, notes director Bob Frame.

The cast includes Lynn Boyle, Theresha K. Duncan, Michael Engler, Susan Key, Courtney L. Novak, and Adam Smith of Auburn; Brandon Zink of Cato; Debbi Heller and Rebecca Murray of Elbridge; Jeffrey Littlejohn of King Ferry; Abigail Perrine of Poplar Ridge; and Drew Stellmack of Skaneateles. All shows start at 8:00 p.m. General admission is $4 and student tickets are $1. Harlequin Productions has a long-standing tradition of successfully staging new works. The company is a member of the Theatre Association of New York State, promoting community and college productions. The 2004 TANYS Festival will be held in November at Cayuga Community College.
