College Hosts 31st Holiday Craft Fair December 4-5

DATE: 12-04-2004

Cayuga Community College will hold its 31st annual Holiday Festival Craft Show in Spartan Hall on the Auburn campus the first weekend of December. The free public event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5.

More than 170 vendors from throughout the Northeast will display and sell a wide range of handcrafted items. Nearby, a “multicultural food court” in the college cafeteria will offer tastes of American, Italian, Filipino, Native American, African American, and Ukrainian foods.

The festival will also feature performances by acoustic musicians and by roving singer-storyteller Stephen Baird. A Boston-based entertainer, Baird invites audiences to participate as he plays a variety of string and percussion instruments.

In the same building, the holiday children's play Amal and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti will be performed by the Auburn Players both days at 1:00 p.m. in the college theatre. The annual Holiday Festival Craft Show is sponsored by the college's Student Activities Board. Additional information is available at 315-255-1743, extension 2232.
