Popular Career Author to Speak at Auburn, Fulton Campuses

Noted speaker Donald Asher, author of several books on finding jobs and changing careers, will be featured at the spring Job Readiness and Education Fair on Wednesday, April 13, at Cayuga Community College's Auburn campus. The free public event will be held in the college's main building from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Asher's talk, “Cracking the Hidden Job Market?How to Beat 1000-to-One Odds and Land Your Dream Job,” will follow a series of workshops, r'sum? critiquing sessions and mock interviews. Workshop topics include Changing Careers, Online Job Searching, Getting Your Application Noticed, Resum's and Interviewing, and Business Etiquette. For residents of the Oswego County area, the college will also host Asher's talk at the Fulton Center on Tuesday, April 12, from 12:30 to 1:50 p.m. This event, too, is free and open to the public.

Asher's books include How to Get Any Job with Any Major, The Overnight Job Change Strategy, The Overnight R'sum?, Asher's Bible of Executive R'sum's, and The Foolproof Job-Search Workbook.
