Fulton Center Graduate Receives Sheriffs' Scholarship

Rebecca A. Pelkey of Oswego, a 2005 graduate of Cayuga Community College, has received a $500 Criminal Justice Scholarship from the New York State Sheriffs? Association. The award was presented to Pelkey at the college's Fulton Center by Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. Todd.

Pelkey, who attended Oswego High School, received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice/Corrections from Cayuga and plans to pursue further studies in law enforcement. Her award was among 32 provided to community college students throughout the state by the Sheriffs? Association in 2005. Recipients were selected based on academic excellence and a demonstrated desire to pursue a career in law enforcement or a related field.
