Centro Expands Free Rides for CCC Fulton Campus Students

DATE: 07-17-2008

Will the cost to fill a gas tank can mean the difference between going or not going to college? Not at the Fulton campus of Cayuga Community College, thanks to an expanded set of free Centro bus routes for area students. As of September, full-time Cayuga students can hop the bus throughout most of Oswego County at no charge, including Centro's Mexico and Phoenix routes. The College will issue the required transportation sticker for the student's ID, and the free bus service will be offered on weekdays when classes are in session. During weekends and college breaks, free rides are available to and from the Fulton campus, so even the college's Sunday classes are accessible by bus at no charge. The expanded Centro service is offered through an updated agreement with the college's Faculty-Student Association, which supports a variety of services for Cayuga students. Centro also offers free bus service for full-time students in Cayuga County, where the college's Auburn campus is located.
