Hit the Beach at College's Annual Family Fun Day

The ninth annual February Family Fun Day will be held at Cayuga Community College on Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Spartan Hall gym. Children's activities at the free public event will feature a beach party theme with hula dancing, tropical snacks, and exotic reptiles. Perennial favorites will include "Clifford the Big Red Dog" of PBS fame, the Herman Avenue High Flyers tumbling squad, a moonwalk, arts, crafts, music, games and face painting. The event will feature the Early Reading Challenge Kickoff, and families can register for free books for Cayuga County preschoolers through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

The family-friendly afternoon is sponsored by Cayuga Community College, the ACC/CCC Alumni Association, the College's Student Activities Board and Early Childhood Club, Success by 6, Eat Well Play Hard, the Cayuga County Health Department, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, and the Seanna M. Donley Memorial Fund.
