Harlequin Players Stage Falling From Trees in March

DATE: 03-16-2009

"Falling means you just let go and see what happens," says Emily in Falling from Trees, a David Moberg play coming in March to the Bisgrove Community Theatre at Cayuga Community College. In this drama staged by the college's Harlequin Productions troupe, six troubled teenagers climb a tree to test their courage and seek the love their families have denied them. Emily, a "forest flako," is joined by mentally challenged Joseph, and then by the high school football hero, two cheerleaders and the town delinquent in a bid to create a fantasy world in the treetops.

Cast members include Kenny Baker, Zac Darling, Jacqueline Kocur, Alaric Robin, Suzanne B. Smith and Esther Taylor-Weiss as the lead ensemble. In supporting roles are James Adler, Shelwyn Becker, Mike Davis, Krista Haggett, Greg T. Miraglia, Cailin O'Connell, Brie O'Donnell and DeeDe Pace. Bob Frame directs, and the backstage staff includes Liz Dapo, Allison Fennesy, Robin Fragoman, Brad McLean and Martha Reutlinger.

The play will be staged at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 19-21 and 26-28. General admission is $5; admission is $1 for students with ID. For further information contact Bob Frame at or 315-294-8640.
