With its originally-scheduled fall 2009 Gettysburg weekend sold out, the Auburn/Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is now offering a repeat excursion the following weekend. The second motorcoach trip to historic Gettysburg, Pa., will depart Friday, September 25, 2009 and return Sunday, September 27, 2009. Travel will originate from Cayuga's Fulton campus at 1:00 p.m. and Auburn campus at 2:00 p.m. Travelers will be escorted by John Lamphere of the Cayuga history faculty on a guided tour including the Gettysburg Museum, historic sites throughout the National Military Park, and a sunset photo session at Little Round Top. Cost per person, based on two people sharing a room, is $215 and includes round-trip transportation, museum and battlefield tours, two nights' hotel stay with continental breakfast, Saturday dinner at a landmark restaurant, and a guided walking ghost tour exclusively for the group.
