Dan Faulkner of Geneseo started in his new role as banner support specialist at Cayuga Community College on June 6. He comes to the college from Adecco Solutions in Rochester, where he was an invoice coordinator.
Faulkner has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of IT-related areas. He spent 17 years at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester as a help desk representative, an expeditor, and a systems engineer. He has also served as a project manager at Ceridian and a programmer analyst at SunGuard, Alfred University, and Pitney Bowes Management Systems.
In his new role, Faulkner will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining procedures, scripts, and functions for SunGard’s Banner and related information systems. He brings to the role expertise in SQL, Pro C, Oracle 81, and SunGard Banner as well as experience in customer-focused process reduction, end user relationship management, and project cost savings.
A U.S. Army veteran, Faulkner earned an AAS in Business Administration from Monroe Community College in Rochester with diplomas in data processing operations and business administration and accounting from the Rochester Business Institute. He also earned 83 credits in management information systems at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.
