More than 100 crafters and vendors will sell their handmade merchandise during the 38th Annual Holiday Festival Craft Show on December 3 and 4 at Cayuga Community College, 197 Franklin St., Auburn. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, and it is free and open to the public.
In addition the holiday crafts, the two-day fair features several live musical and theatrical performances. The Auburn Players Community Theater will perform a children's play at noon and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the Irene A. Bisgrove Community Theatre. Musician and puppeteer Stephen Baird will perform between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Barrigar Brothers will perform an acoustic set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Cayuga Café.
Attendees can also sample foods representing a wide range of cultures and tastes from one of the many food vendors.
"This is one of our biggest events every year," said Norman Lee, College director of student activities, which has sponsored the event for the past 38 years. "It's a great craft show that provides a forum for local artisans to sale their goods, and it's also a festive celebration that brings together community members of all ages."
