Cayuga CC Alumni Association plans November Weekend Trip to NYC

The Auburn/Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is booking a weekend bus excursion to New York City on Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11, 2012. No group activities are scheduled; travelers are free to make their own plans for sightseeing, shopping, dining, galleries, museums, and shows. This year, there will be a new twist to this perennial favorite trip.  Rather than a midtown location, the group will be staying in Greenwich Village.

The deluxe motorcoach will depart from the college’s Auburn Campus at 6 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. Travelers will be dropped off before noon at the Washington Square Hotel, located at 103 Waverly Place. The return trip will depart at 3 p.m. on Sunday, make a fast-food stop, and arrive in Auburn around 8 p.m.

The Washington Square Hotel is easily accessible to many sights, including the Times Square theater district, museums, and shopping. This Art Deco hotel is celebrating 110 years of offering Greenwich Village hospitality in a safe and vibrant area.

Reservations are open to the public, and you do not need to be an alumnus to participate (age restrictions may apply). The per-person cost of $240 covers round-trip motorcoach transportation, double-occupancy hotel room with one bed, including taxes and Continental breakfast at the hotel on Sunday morning, snacks, and soft drinks en route to New York. Double occupancy rooms with two beds have limited availability. Payment is due upon reservation with the College’s Alumni Office at 315-255-1743, extension 2224 or 2454.
