Cayuga Community College’s Office of Community Education and Workforce is offering six credit-free healthcare career training programs this winter, including Medical Assisting, Medical Coding, Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist, Dental Assisting, EKG Technician, and Pharmacy Technician. According to the Department of Labor, these healthcare careers will be among the fastest growing occupations in central New York through 2018. Positions are available in a diverse array of healthcare facilities including medical offices, hospitals, emergency services, and nursing homes and long-term care facilities, among others.
Classes begin in early February and tuition for these credit-free training courses ranges from $999 to $2,750 including textbooks.
