Staff and Volunteers Needed for Annual Alumni Phonathon

DATE: 02-04-2003

The Auburn/Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is accepting applications for its annual spring phonathon, set to begin on Monday, March 10. The association is recruiting staff and volunteers for positions as coordinator, callers, and clerical aides.

The college's graduates, faculty, staff, students, and friends in the community are invited to support the effort. Goals include strengthening relationships with alumni, updating alumni records, and encouraging giving to the college's foundation.

A commitment to serve part-time in the evening will be necessary, along with "good people skills and a sunny disposition," according to Elisabeth Hurley, director of alumni affairs. She adds that while some positions will be paid, volunteers will be needed to help with calling, paperwork, and typing.
