The Cayuga Community College Pre-School Child Care Center infuses a quality early learning experience with child care. The Cayuga Community College Pre-School Child Care Center is sponsored by the Faculty Student Association and licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We are located on the Auburn Campus (197 Franklin St. Auburn, NY 13021) behind the Library.
Ages Served and Hours
Cayuga Community College (CCC) Pre-School Child Care Center serves children from the ages of three to five.
Hours of operation are from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm. We are open Fall, Spring, and Summer 1 semesters. Schedules may vary year to year due to UPK programing. Please contact the Director for specific dates and times of operation. Schedule options vary depending on need and availability.
Cayuga Community College Pre-School Child Care Center serves the children of CCC students, employees, and community members. Children of CCC students receive enrollment priority.
We are also an approved site for the Auburn Enlarged City Schools Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK). Enrollment for this program (UPK only) is free to all participants and placement at our site is completed by the district. Before and after care is available on a limited basis.

The Cayuga Community College Pre-School professional staff includes a Director and a Teacher and Teacher Assistant in each classroom. We also have Work Study students from our college that offer appropriate assistance in the classroom.
In addition we offer opportunities for students enrolled at CCC, from a variety of academic fields, to gain experiences and observations hours within the Pre-School Learning Environment.
Program for Children
At Cayuga Community College Pre-School our philosophy is that the program exists to meet the needs of the children, families, and staff of the center; we encourage and support each child in all areas of development, fostering a sense of individuality while maintaining an "extended family" framework. We strive to meet and exceed the needs of our college and local community; developmentally appropriate practices are consistently utilized, and the children are our primary focus.

At the beginning of each Fall semester we ask each family to pay a $35 registration fee. This registration fee is waived for college students. For families with multiple children, we offer a 15% discount. Billing is completed monthly, and we accept cash or check for payment. Please contact the Center office for current fees.
Children are served a morning and afternoon snack. We ask that families provide a nutritious lunch for their child. We have a refrigerator to store any items that may need to stay cool.
