Instructor and Coordinator of Advanced Manufacturing Initiatives (Search Reopened)



Cayuga Community College seeks an energetic instructor, partnership builder and student advocate to expand Advanced Manufacturing opportunities across Cayuga and Oswego Counties. 

This full-time, year-round, tenure-track position will collaborate with professionals in industry, academia, and workforce development to build a skilled and plentiful workforce for the manufacturing industry of tomorrow.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have a solid, relevant background as evidenced by a combination of educational credentials, training/teaching experience and “shop floor” leadership.
  • Clearly articulate a dynamic vision for the future of advanced manufacturing.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships and partnerships with diverse manufacturing facilities and other workforce development entities served by the college’s two Advanced Manufacturing Institutes (located on our Auburn and Fulton campuses).
  • Engage with emerging trends, evolving technologies and changing business plans.
  • Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and entrepreneurial insight.
  • Effect innovative approaches to teaching and learning
  • Be “up for a challenge” and eager to create opportunities.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of our students.
