Help Desk Instructional Assistant (PT) Temporary

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

DEPARTMENT:     Information Technology User Services

APPOINTMENT:    Temporary through December 22nd

REPORTS TO:       Manager of IT User Services

HOURS:                  Up to 27.5 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS:

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides a single point of contact through which all technical problems are routed and provides technical assistance to users where appropriate or refer to appropriate team members.
  2. Answers the Help Desk telephones in a professional and courteous manner.
  3. Makes preliminary attempts to fix the problem, using a set of standard solutions.
  4. Responds to voicemails, emails and tickets in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
  5. Documents all calls, tickets, emails, and voicemails and emails a daily report at the end of each work day.
  6. Availability to work days, evenings and weekends, up to 27.5 hours per week, including remote and on campus work.
  7. Acts responsibly as a representative of the user services team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associates degree in computer science and/or commensurate experience in related field in computer customer support.
  2. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users and staff. Access to reliable internet for remote work
