The ninth annual "Don't Trash It, Cash It" Appraisal Fair at Cayuga Community College will be open to the public on Sunday, October 16. The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in Nature Center Building, located behind the main Auburn Campus, 197 Franklin St.
Robert Chilson of Purple Monkey Antiques in Weedsport will donate his services to provide expert verbal opinions on the value of antiques and collectibles. Danna DeVaul, an estate broker from Cazenovia, N.Y., will also be on hand to offer appraisals.
People may bring photographs of items that are too large to carry to campus. The cost of verbal appraisal for one item is $2 or $5 for three items. All proceeds will support programs and services of the Auburn/Cayuga Community College Alumni Association.
