POLISH FALCONS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

DESCRIPTION

In 1906 a group of Auburn’s Polish community, wishing to work with youth and further the betterment of the community and the Polish people, formed Falcons Nest 74. Through more than a century of service, the Club has continued to build and strengthen the community through dedicated members locally and nationally. Throughout the years in their own quiet and unassuming way, the members have gained prominence in the civic sector and being active in the growth of the community, a tradition that will continue as long as the Falcons exist. With this scholarship, that legacy is secured.
Two $1,000 scholarships shall be awarded annually to students who are:
1. Must be matriculated in a degree program in a technical, skilled trade or public service field, including Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Technology, Human Services, or Mechanical Technology programs and have earned at least 12 credit hours
2. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
3. Be enrolled on a full-time basis
4. The Committee will to give primary consideration to an applicant with current and/or legacy family ties to the Polish Falcons Nest 74 and/or the Polish Falcons national organization

RECIPIENT SELECTED BY:

  • For N/A Students
  • Must be a graduate of the high schools within the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES school system
