APPLICATION CHECKLIST

If you’re an active-duty military member, National Guard, or Army Reserve soldier, veteran, spouse, or dependent, you must follow the admissions steps outlined below to ensure that any military tuition assistance or education benefits are processed properly. We recommend that, before you apply, you establish your benefits eligibility.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applying to Cayuga is quick and FREE. You can start your application now!

You should apply as a FRESHMAN if you:

  • Served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Coast Guard (or are an eligible dependent).
  • Have not completed any college coursework online or at a college campus.

OR

  • Served in the Air Force but do NOT have a CCAF/Air University or Joint Services Transcript.

You should apply as a TRANSFER if you:

  • Served in the Air Force and have a CCAF/Air University or Joint Services Transcript.

OR

  • Served in the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Coast Guard AND completed coursework online or at a university campus before, during, or after your military service.

Official high school transcript, General Education Diploma (GED), or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC).

Official college or university transcripts for every college or university you have attended. Do not send photocopies or unofficial copies.

Official military transcripts such as the:

A copy of your DD214 (member copy 4) or NGB-22. If you are currently serving, please provide the most recent copy of your orders or enlistment contract.

TRANSFERRING MILITARY CREDIT

All veterans and dependents of veterans applying for educational benefits must submit official transcripts from all previous colleges/universities they attended for evaluation.
