ADVANCING SUCCESS IN ASSOCIATE PATHWAYS (ASAP)
ASAP* helps promising, motivated students earn their associate’s degree as quickly as possible.
At Cayuga, students in ASAP benefit from an enhanced academic environment and personalized tutoring services. Students receive dedicated financial and personal support, comprehensive advisement, career counseling, tuition waivers and other financial assistance to offset textbook expenses.
* Cayuga’s Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program is part of the SUNY replication of the City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) program.

† To be eligible for this grant, students must be primary caregivers who are in need of childcare and eligible for the OCFS subsidized family share rate, which applies to students whose income, based on family size, does not exceed 200% of the state standard. Student parents must apply for this subsidy through OCFS if they are not already in receipt of the subsidy. Funds may also be used to cover licensed after-school care.
Eligibility
- Enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits per semester) and matriculated in one of the following programs:
- Liberal Arts
- Business
- Criminal Justice
- Studio Art (Auburn Campus)
- Early Childhood (Auburn Campus)
- Culinary Arts (Auburn Campus)
- Music
- Environmental Studies (Auburn Campus or Online)
- Media Arts
- Human Services (may need one class online)
- Completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application
- Students must be Pell eligible
- Have fewer than 21 college credits, not including credits earned when concurrently enrolled in high school
- Be proficient in Math and/or English or require no more than two developmental supports
- Enroll immediately and continuously in any developmental supports
- Have a high school GPA of 80 or above and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Be eligible for in-state tuition
How to Apply
- Step 1: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application each year.
- Step 2: Accept your offer of admission and complete all Cayuga admissions requirements.
