CHILD CARE CENTER

The Cayuga Community College Child Care Center and School Age Program are state-licensed and Quality Star NY accredited facilities that care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

The programs serve children of students, staff, and members of the community. Enrollment priority is given to students enrolled at Cayuga. A subsidy is offered for qualifying students, and other subsidies provided to families are also accepted. The program is also a site for the Auburn School District’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten.

INFORMATION AND RESOURCES

We are open year-round. Children who enroll at the Child Care Center are enrolled full-time and charged for 5 days/week. At this time, we do not offer part-time care.

We are also an approved site for the Auburn Enlarged City Schools Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK). Enrollment through AECSD opens in February, and students are assigned to sites of their choosing on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have programs for 3PK (3-year-old preschool students) and UPK (4-year-old preschool students). Placement is completed by the school district. Care for UPK and 3PK students is free from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (Monday – Friday) and follows the AECSD calendar. UPK schedules may vary year to year due to UPK programming. For more information regarding this, please refer to the school district’s website.

Wrap care is also available for school-aged children on a limited basis.

The program’s staff includes a Director, teachers, assistant teachers, and part-time aides. In addition, we offer opportunities for students enrolled at Cayuga, from various academic fields, to gain professional experiences and observation hours within our early childhood learning environment.
