COURSE DESCRIPTION
THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE: A hybrid course is where some traditional face-to-face "seat time" has been replaced by online learning activities. The purpose of a hybrid course is to take advantage of the best features of both face-to-face and online learning.
Prerequisite: BIOL 103 or 225 or equivalent. This course serves as a second course in the two-semester biology sequence, and is intended for math/science or health science majors, or students interested in more rigorous scientific study. This course provides a survey of Kingdom Animalia focusing on animal diversity, structure, and physiological functions from an evolutionary perspective, and includes the topics of organization, homeostasis, organ systems, growth and development, and introductory concepts of genetics and heredity.
