COURSE DESCRIPTION
Prerequisite: ENGL 101 or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 101. This course introduces students to writing as a practice of content production across genres and contexts. Students develop productive writing habits while learning how writers create compelling texts for different audiences, purposes, and platforms. Emphasis is placed on writing consistently, experimenting with genre, and understanding how writing functions in professional and public environments. Through guided prompts, structured exercises, and peer feedback, students practice generating and refining content in areas such as reporting, storytelling, and professional communication. Students also explore writing-related careers and the business of being a writer.
