COURSE DESCRIPTION

THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE: A hybrid course is where some traditional face-to-face "seat time" has been replaced by online learning activities. The purpose of a hybrid course is to take advantage of the best features of both face-to-face and online learning.

Recommended background: basic computer skills such as using Windows menus and mouse, creating, saving, and printing files. Briefly covers computer hardware, the Windows operating system and its file management capabilities. Provides coverage of the features and functions of application programs for word processing, electronic spreadsheets, database management, and presentation graphics. Lecture and hands-on assignments emphasize application to typical business problems. Curriculum is based on the core competencies required for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification.
