COURSE DESCRIPTION

Prerequisite: English 101-102. This course is a continuation of English 203, providing a survey of American prose, poetry, and drama in the late 19th through 20th centuries representing varying race, class, and gender identities. Analysis includes the general movements of thought, literary techniques, themes and issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice revealed in the works of representative writers.
