Part-Time Adjunct Nursing Lab Instructor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Department - Nursing
Location - Auburn and Fulton Campuses
Part-Time Faculty Association
Reporting to - Director of Nursing
A part-time nursing lab instructor teaches and evaluates students in the nursing lab under the direction of the Nursing Lab Coordinator. Provides students with individualized assistance in the Nursing Lab to promote application of nursing skills and procedures. Flexible day, evening, and Sunday shifts available.

Teaching Responsibilities
- Facilitate student learning within the nursing department’s mission, philosophy and conceptual framework
- Implement student-centered learning activities to achieve learning of clinical skills
- Facilitate guided practice of clinical skills
- Evaluate student competency of clinical skill performance
- Communicate student progress to Nursing Lab Coordinator
- Use Lippincott web-enhanced learning management system
- Provide technical support as needed to facilitate learning
Departmental Responsibilities
- Attend Nursing Lab meetings (1 per semester)
- Attend nursing departmental meetings as desired
- Serve on nursing ad hoc meetings as desired
- Attend annual Professional Advancement Pinning Ceremony
Professional Responsibilities
- Maintain clinical competency of skills performed in Nursing Lab
- Pursue continuing education in area of expertise
- Use evidence-based teaching practices
- Facilitate learning within the framework of the National League for Nursing Core Competencies of Nurse Educators
- Submit annual Nursing Adjunct Performance Appraisal May 15
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current New York State RN license
- BSN required
- 3 years related clinical experience
DATE TO BE FILLED:
Fall 2024
COMPENSATION:
$37.01/hr
