Cayuga Community College is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Cayuga Community College’s accreditation status is accreditation reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status in 2016 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is an institutional agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Cayuga Community College is pleased to announce that the institution has launched its self-study review process with a scheduled accreditation team visit in Spring 2025.
The Commission makes available the opportunity to submit third party comments regarding the institution’s compliance with standards for accreditation, requirements of affiliation, policies and procedures, and applicable federal regulatory requirements in accordance with the Commission’s Third Party Comments Policy.
